Sociology

In the purpose of a first approach of the sociology by young bio-engineers, the course:
1. Will approach the main characteristics of the classic scientific thought and the way the relations between knowledge and company are determined

2. Will put in parallel the complex nature of the links between man and society on one hand, and the bridges to (re)build between the various domains of  knowledge on the other hand.

3. Will propose to the students the major principles which allow the sociologist to be a participating observer while guaranteeing a high degree of scientific quality in the observation
4. Will suggest to the students to adopt an attitude allowing to analyze problematics in the complexity of their technical and social dimensions (stakes, actors, relations of power etc.), as well as to adapt the implementation of solutions according to the intricacy of these two types of contingency.

5. Will insist on the critical use and the relevance of the sociology.
