Learning unit contents

This course consists in accompanying students in a small ethnographic research in Liège, from the elaboration of research questions to the analysis of data. The course lessons are dedicated to the discussion of the various aspects of the research process.
 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The main purpose is to place students in a situation that will help them develop their research skills. At the end of the course, students will be able to define a problematic, to use different research methods in a relevant way, and to interpret the data produced in this way.

One or several research subjects are proposed to students at the beginning of the course. Students must find readings on this subject themselves.

Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.

Grading is based on the final paper.
