The student will work on an original research projet in one of the research groups involved in the Erasmus Mundus FAME Master.

Education to scientific research
The master thesis consists in a personal study on a subject related to materials science. This study concerns an original synthesis of recent research works putting into perspective a certain subject of study, a contribution to the development of ongoing research in the host laboratory, or an original research work that may lead to the publication of results at the end of the work.

A general education in chemistry corresponding to 240 ECTS

Project conducted in a research laboratory within the chemistry department

If required by the sanitary conditions, the presentation and the defense of the master thesis work will be organized remotely via videoconference.

Assessment methods and criteria
Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.
Assessment based on the quality of the written research report, of an oral seminar and of the answers to the reviewers' questions.
