Learning unit contents
The course includes 4 theoretical lessons on the following topics:
- General introduction and pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1 and TNF systems).
- Type 1 cytokines and the polarization Th1/Th2/Th17
- CD4+ T cell populations and regulatory cytokines.
- Chemokines.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
To get an integrated view of the physiological properties of cytokines and chemokines rather than a listing of the distinct molecules.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Knowledge of the general principles of immunology.
