Units courses prerequisite and corequisite

Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

The course addresses the question of psychotherapeutic accompaniment to the older adults: do they use it?, what are the obstacles to such accompaniments? what are the useful and necessary modifications to consider? what their purpose (concept of maintaining the quality of life)?
Based on these elements, the course covers the main mental disturbance occurring during old age: depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, etc. Their semiological aspects and prevalence are discussed. The assessment techniques, current treatment methods and perspectives of clinical research are specified.

Assessment methods and criteria

Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.

Any session :

- In-person

written exam ( multiple-choice questionnaire )

- Remote

written exam ( multiple-choice questionnaire )

- If evaluation in "hybrid"

preferred in-person

Additional information:

Written exam with multiple choice questions (questions with five possibilities of answers, or true / false).
Rating system which provides a penalty for wrong answers (usually 1 point for a correct answer, -0.25 points for a mistake, and 0 if no response or a response "I do not know").
It should be noted that at the end of each examination session (June or August / September), the level of severity of the examination could be revised downward. This decrease in severity will be left to the strict appreciation of the academic. The latter will be based on the level of complexity found in the exam, and therefore on the student success rate. This adaptation (or not) of severity may vary from one session to another.
