Introduction to radiology, nuclear medicine and tomography reconstruction techniques used by these medical imaging modalities as well as a practical teaching on digital images.

At the end of the course the student will be able
- to describe and explain the physics of conventionnal radiology (analogic or digital images),
- to describe and explain the physics of CT-scan,
- to describe and explain the basics of dosimetry in CT-scan,
- to describe and explain the physics of in-vivo diagnostic nuclear medicine (scintigraphy and positron emission tomography),
- to describe and explain the mathematics of the problem of tomography reconstruction and some of the methods to solve this problem,
- to use a software of medical image processing.
