Learning unit contents

The internship provides students with the opportunity to develop their skills in microbiology in a clinical microbiology department, including National reference centres for  Streptococcus agalactiae, Vibrio cholerae and mycosis.
 
 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of the internship, the student will be able to

  • participate to a research program
  • master the topic and used methods
  • analyze biological material
  • integrate well in a team
  • extract selected data from medical files and analyze them in an epidemiological context
  • comment and discuss the obtained results

Interest in microbiology.

Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)

  • 3-month intership
  • Briefing and work sessions about the chosen theme of the research.

Assessment methods and criteria

Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.

  • Detailed written report of the internship, according to specifications of the vade mecum.
  • Public defense of this report.
  • Internship master's assessment
