Learning unit contents
The way teams have conducted their previous research was imposed. It's now time for them to conduct their qualitative research on their own. Now teams decide when it is necessary to collect data or to consult a scientific article, and how to do so, collectively. This cpuse thus offers a framework to expérience therotecal sampling.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The student will be able to:
- write up a qualitative research question,
- determine how to collect qualitative material,
- actively participate to a collective team work,
- create efficient slides,
- speak in public.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Fluency in French is mandatory. Students whose mother tongue is not French are encouraged to follow another course.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
- Theorical sessions are organized as séminars.
- Practical work consists in realizing a qualitative research in teams (elaborating a research question, conducting and analysis of an interview).
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
Face to face practical work and/or online class rooms (depending of the pandemy).

Assessment methods and criteria
Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.
- Diary (collective) Each team helds a diary troughout the practical work.
- Presentation (collective)
The written examination, the logbook and the presentation are each worth 33 % of the global note. The diary worths 2/3 of the global mark; the presentation worths 1/3.
