Learning unit contents
This course will help students acquire the notions and techniques necessary to prepare paper form scholarly editions of 17th and 18th century literary french texts. Major topics covered include : choice and treatment of the base text ; critical apparatus ; annotations ; introduction and tools ; scholarly edition of complete works ; scholarly edition of correspondences ; scholarly edition of oral discourses ; new orientations (electronic scholarly editing, genetic editing).
