This module presents the locomotive system's essential systems: muscles, tendons, bones, cartilage and ligaments.
The biochemical partim of this module is devoted to the molecular study of muscles and bones.

This module presents the locomotive system's essential systems: muscles, tendons, bones, cartilage and ligaments.

General pathology

This module presents the locomotive system's essential systems: muscles, tendons, bones, cartilage and ligaments.

Physiotherapy introduction

This module presents the locomotive system's essential systems: muscles, tendons, bones, cartilage and ligaments.

Theory and techniques of re-educating the musculoskeletal system - this course describes the different essential treatment techniques applied by the physiotherapist.



The prevention of amyotrophy and strengthening muscles. The particular aspects of the different modes of contraction - in particular eccentric - are analysed as well as a description of technical possibilities. The different applications to specific pathological contexts will be offered.



Muscle stretching technique: passive and active. The concept of slackening antagonistic muscles - essential in re-education - will be developed.



The foundations of diverse proprioceptive re-education programmes will be applied to various articulations.



Re-education techniques and objectives in the context of cartilage damage

Contra-indications

In order to ensure that sport practice can be done in good conditions, it is necessary to know and control any contraindications and precautions to be taken in the context of osteo-arthritis.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Histology

To understand histological and functional relations between the components of the musculoskeletal system

Biochemistry

To known the biochemical, anatomical, histological and physiological basis of the musculo-osteoarticular system in order to be able to understand the diseases of this system.
The Biochemistry part focuses on specific aspects of muscle biochemistry as well as bone biochemistry.

Ex-cathedra lectures, no session of practical work in Biochemistry. For the year 2020-2021, depending on the number of students and the health situation, a system of courses given both face-to-face and at a distance (UNI-CAST system) will eventually be put in place. In all cases, the lessons will be saved to be viewed later.

Biochemistry

The Biochemistry exam will take place according to the modalities decided by all the teachers of the normal man module. Whenever possible, the exam will be conducted in a written way, face-to-face, using open-ended questions.
 
In the event that a face-to-face exam is prohibited, a remote examination will be carried out using the e-campus platform. These will then be true-false questions.
