Learning unit contents
Translation from Ancient Greek and Greek prose composition. Some short chapters from Greek grammar. There might be as well exercises on grammar, restitution of missing text and overall understanding of the meaning of a text. Private reading in 2020-2021: Aristophanes' Birds (with metrical reading of the dialogues).
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Enhancing students' knowledge of Ancient Greek.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Very good knowledge of Ancient Greek language (grammar, stylistics and vocabulary).
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Active participation in the exercises.
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
Two hours a week during the first term.
Organisational adjustments related to the current health context
Depending on the health situation, teaching and assessment could be done at distance.
Update of December 11, 2020: the January exam will be a remote oral.
