Learning unit contents

The commentary concerns a work or a part of a work selected for its linguistic and literary interest. The linguistic characteristics are studied as closely as possible without neglecting the contents and the literary tradition.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The goal of the learning is to understand deeply the problems connected with the commentary of a Latin text of high degree of difficulty.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The students have to prepare a personal work (a comparison of translation) and to propose a translation of a passage studied during the lessons.
