Learning outcomes of the learning unit
This course contribute to the acquisition of the following skills:
- Structuring of thoughts
- Splitting a complex problem into easy to solve sub-problems
- Coding a script in Python
- Developing a methodological rigor
- Seeing the interest of programming in bio-engineering
- Favorising the use of programming in bio-engineering
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
-- INFO2037-1- Introduction to computer science
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is organized around:
- 1 face-to-face session (2h) in a large auditorium
- 6 e-learning modules + Homeworks
- 6 practical sessions (voluntary basis)
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
Blended learning (face-to-face and e-learning)
Organisational adjustments related to the current health context
The exam will consist of realizing a Python script.
Yellow code: The exam will be done on the computer of the faculty
Orange code: The exam will be done virtually on a personal computer using e-campus platform. The script will be separated by task and a duration will be fixed to solve each task. This will allow avoiding the cheating.
Recommended or required readings
Syllabus and also the available informations on e-campus related to the course.
Assessment methods and criteria
Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.
