Learning unit contents
The course will consist of a series of seminars on advanced topics in computer systems architectures, possibly complemented by company visits.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the course students will have a better understanding of some advanced topics in computer systems architectures.
The written reports help improve the writing skills of the students.
The seminars and all support material in English allow students to improve their knowledge and skills in this langage.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Good knowledge of networking, security, mobile technology and English.

The course will be mainly composed of seminars given by external speakers. A company visit might also be planned.

Assessment methods and criteria
Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.
The students will have to submit a short written report on each seminar, allowing the validation of their understanding of the topics.
The presence during the seminars is taken into account in the final grade.
This report is individual, personal, and acts as an exam. It is forbidden to provide one's own report to another student, or to copy a part or a whole report of another student. Plagiarism on external sources is not tolerated. Any fraud will automatically lead to a grade of 0/20 and possibly additional sanctions.

Organizational remarks
We strongly advise the students to take some notes during the talks, as the report will also depict their understanding of those.
This pedagogical commitment only applies to the "Seminar" learning activity of the course.
