Learning unit contents

Theme of the "Option Paysage" 2019-2020 : The Ixelles Ponds - towards a better identity of the urban landscape. 
The Option paysage will deal with the Ponds of Ixelles as a case analysis and will develop landscape structure schemes in the local and regional context.
It will be the question of identifying this landscape of the Ponds, to evaluate, define the tools and to develop methodologies for its handing-over, while finishing by the development of structure schemes for the future landscape.
The following questions will be discussed: which long-term development, which recommendations for the future, which management necessary, which diversity?

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The Option Paysage consists in a pluridisciplinary interventions, starting with the landscape as central element, included in the territorial project and urban planning, as well as the role of the landscape in the sustainable city, considering also the aspects of territorial ecology, regional development, sustainable urbanism, workshops and case studies linked to the theme

The work of the Option Paysage and the 2 modules is focussing on the analysis, the diagnostic and elaboration of scenarios for the Anderlecht urban public spaces.
