Learning unit contents

In this course, the student learns the rules and steps for writing a thesis in the various Master's degrees in economics (60,120).
On the basis of presentations, exchanges and research, the student progresses in the writing of the master thesis.
Finally, tools and programs are presented (Latex and the export of results from STATA to Word/Latex) to facilitate the writing of the thesis. A detailed analysis of a reference article from each of the students will also be analyzed and criticized.

Progress of the thesis and planning;
Writing of referee report.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

If possible, an econometrics course or at least a course with work on the data

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Oral presentations by the teacher with material support (slides + documents + STATA programs + abstract reports).
Oral presentations of the progress of each student's thesis.

Assessment methods and criteria

40% presentation + 20% literature review + 40% referee report writing
