Learning unit contents
This course aims to help students in the first steps of their definition of master thesis and internship.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of this unit, the student will be able to :
- define and explain the specificities of the master thesis and the internship related to his/her master's degree and his/her specialization;
- submit a thesis proposal adapted to the academic requirements and the specificities of his/her specialization;
- write a curriculum vitae and a motivation letter.

The course is composed of :
- three plenary sessions which attendance is mandatory;
- activities to be chosen from a proposed list
- two 'deliverables': the submission of a master thesis proposal validated by the specialization pilot and the submission of a curriculum vitae on the Career Center.
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
Passive participation in 3 plenary sessions and active participation in the proposed activities.

Assessment methods and criteria
Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.

More specifically, the final grade will be computed as follows :
Attendance at mandatory plenary sessions:
- Introductory session: 2 points
- Career Center Session: 2 points
- Session by Purpose: 2 points
Active participation in the Speed Meeting: 2 points
Active participation in an activity of your choice among: 2 points
- the Journée de Préparation à l'embauche Q1
- the Career Day Q1
- the Journée de Préparation à l'embauche Q2
- the Career Night Q2
Active participation in one or more activities from a proposed list : (1 point per activity).
Submission of a curriculum to the Career Center: 2 points
Submission of a master thesis proposal validated by the specialization pilot on MyThIn: 8 points.
Attention ! The delivery of the master thesis proposal is a fundamental element of this course. In case of failure in this part, the course will be failed.

Given the current COVID situation, some face-to-face activities may be replaced by remote alternatives. In both cases, face-to-face or remote, a presence control system will be put in place to decide whether or not to grant the corresponding point(s).
