Schedule
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Learning unit contents
- Numbering systems, Boole algebra
- Logical variables and functions, function table, Karnaugh diagram
- Combinational functions : full adder, comparator, binary decoder, multiplexer, priority encoder.
- Sequential functions : bistables, flip flops, Latches, shift register, counters.
- For each item, applications related to the field of climatic and environmental parameter measure and regulation will be presented
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
To give the conception basis of electronic circuits used in the field of environmental and climatic measurement and regulation.
After completing the course the student is expected to be able to
- carry out elementary operations on binary and hexadecimal numbers (including the use of binary files)
- carry out elementary operations on binary and hexadecimal numbers (including the use of binary files)
- understand and use logical circuits data sheets
- use elementary logical gates to conceive electronic circuits realizing combinational logic functions.
- coordinate a series of logical operations and to conceive electronic circuits realizing sequential logic functions.
