Learning unit contents

This land surveying course presents complements concerning instruments (process, associated errors) as well as complex computational operations (reduction to the ellipsoid, free station, etc.).

- to get an advanced knowledge of the instruments - to masterise the diverse corrections that can be applyied to observations
- to masterise reduction of distances

Course notes are available on eCampus. Numerous recent reference books (mostly in English) are available at the library of earth sciences.

Additional information:

Each field work session will be the subject of a written report which is graded. A written examination is organsied and eventually, an oral examination is organised. The whole evaluation process is described in the course's overheads.
