A partir d'une analyse circonstanciée de diverses définitions du contrôle interne, le cours aborde l'étude de principes généraux de contrôle : la division du travail, la définition des attributions, les procédures, la schématisation des systèmes, etc.. Le cours présente ensuite une approche méthodologique de l'évaluation du contrôle interne par l'auditeur interne.
