Learning unit contents
The written assignement should consist of research and synthesis, similar to a doctrinal study, of approximately 25 pages, under the direction of a teacher (tutor).
The choice of subject i part of the graduation exercice. It is therefore in principle the responsability of the student to researche the subject of his word himsel, on the adivce of the academic tutor.
The subjet proposed by the student must be approvered by the tutor. The latter can refuse a subject which seems to him of no interest or which leads him outside his field of competence.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Through the written assignement, the student mut demonstrate his ability to deal with legal questions on which he will not have had lessons himself or to go into legal questions beyond what has been discussed in the course.
They must demonsrtate their abilities to learn (search for information, use documentary research), understand (digest the documentation, do a critical analysis) and exhibit (make on orderly, synthetic and critical presentation).

Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.

Additional information:
To be valued in accordance with TFE requirements, the written work must contain a minimum of 38000 characters and a maximum of 70000 characters.
The caracter limit is calculed on the texte alone, no counting spaces, footnotes, bibliography, or table of contents. This limit is imperative; non-compliance is indicative of postponement.
The student must write a presentation text summarizing in one page maximum the content of his written work. This summary presentation is inserted at the heard of the bound copy of the written work and on the description of the TFE on www.matheo.be.
The student will respect the writing and presentation instructions imposed by the Commission. These instructions are the subject of a document entitled "vade-mecum of written word", annexed to these regulattions.
The student will also respect any additional requirements imposed on him by his academic tutor.
By november 30 at the latest, the student must initiate the filing of his tfe online on www.matheo.uliege.be by describing in the "summary" section a brief provisional desxription of the subject of his work approved by the tutor academic. Failure to comply with this formality is indicative of postponement.
