General overview:
The year's programme includes
- Presentations from professionals, both on architecture and materials
- Commented visits of built works
- Commented visits of places where materials are worked (ironworking, woodworking...)
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
In preparation for workshop C, this series of visits and presentations allows students to learn about the actual execution of the architectural elements they have studied, with speakers sharing about their own studies and personal experience with the topic at hand, but also with interventions by professionals working with materials. These visits and presentations vary according to the given programmes, and are directly related to the programme and the site studied. The 2 credits, i.e. 24 hours' worth of classes, are divided into two-hour sessions (or grouped into half-days) in the first and second term, depending on the schedule of the speakers' ongoing or finished projects.
