Learning unit contents
The course is made up of 2 different parts : 1. The ration formulation for the the dairy herd 2. The metabolic nutritional diseases in dairy cow
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course aims at training you to use your knowledge and undertsanding to formulate a balanced ration for the dairy herd following different goals :
- Optimize the use of feeds produced on the farm
- The qualitative and quantitative milk production
- The operation of the ruminant, including the metabolic nutritional diseases
This course contributes to the acquisition of the following skills:
1. Identify relevant qualitative and quantitative information related to an agronomic process 2. Interpreting information related to an agronomic process in order to identify the main elements

Assessment methods and criteria
Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.
The final mark will be the average of the two activities. To pass this course successfully, each student will have to pass all the different works and examination. If not, (s)he will have to reatke the parts that (s)he missed.

Organizational remarks
The written reports must be sent via email at latest on the last day of the lecturer period in December of the academic year. Late reports will not be considered and an absence mark will automatically be given.
