The objectives of media, communication and performing arts education with regard to the "Décret Missions"
The role of the teacher in this context

Learning mechanisms (building a pedagogical sequence for media, communication and performing arts education; formulating instructions; choosing materials; working on motivation in the classroom)
The knowledge to be taught (concepts and notions, didactic transposition, didactic programming)

Theoretical approach to the concepts of media literacy and transliteracy

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of this teaching unit, the student will be able
- to be familiar with theoretical research in the field of media education and the didactics of the performing arts.
- to critically evaluate a teaching sequence and propose areas for improvement.
- to prepare relevant lessons, adapted to the students and that fully involve them in the learning process.
- to communicate with a group of students, design appropriate materials and use them appropriately. 
- to know how to organize and manage learning in the classroom.
- to question his or her practice and consider solutions to the learning problems encountered by students.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Fluency in both written and spoken french.
Co-requisites: teaching courses, observation courses and reflective practice.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Reading. Practice-based learning

Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)

Lectures, peer teaching and small group activities.
Code yellow: presential, with respect to the sanitary precautions.
Code Orange: presential, with respect to the sanitary precautions. If these precautions cannot be respected, hybrid teaching will be used, using the Collaborate virtual classroom.
Code red: distancial teaching using the Collaborate virtual classroom.

Assessment methods and criteria

Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.

Students will complete a portfolio of exercises to be delivered on the first day of the session (January 4, 2021).
Class attendance is mandatory. Any absence must be validly justified (with attestation from the employer or medical certificate). Failure to comply with this obligation of regular attendance will not allow the student to take the exam.
