This course is part of the Executive Master given by ULG in Brazil, in the Framework of the FLUFURAMs project.
The FLUDURAMS is a network sponsored by CIUF - Conseil Interuniversitaire de la Communauté Française - joining six universities of French Community in Belgium and in Brazil - Université de Liège (ULg), Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), Universidade Federal do Amazonas (UFAM), Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (UFRG) and Universidade de Brasília (UnB).
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
MODULE 1:
DESIGN of SUSTAINABLE RIVER CONTROL
and NAVIGATION STRUCTURES
Part I: Design of movable weirs and flood protection barriers
Part II: Design of navigation locks
Part III: Structural Analysis and optimisation of gates
Part IV: Study Case - Design of a flood protection barrier from real data
A Technical visit will be organised on the site (TCV)
