Learning unit contents

    The course consists of a theoretical part (4h), a self-learning part (56h), and professional seminars.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The general objective is to reinforce essential clinical knowledge and comprehension for the generalist veterinary practitioner.
It also aims at developing clinical reasoning, autonomy and reflexive attitude of the end-of-curriculum student.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

All the theoretical and practical training of clinical and laboratory disciplines taught during the first five years of the veterinary curriculum.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The 4 hours of theory concern clinical reasoning.
The 56 hours of self-directed learning are clearly identified in each option. They are to be devoted to the performance of on line formative tests, and to the redaction of the case log and the three case reports of each student.
The professional seminars are co-organized with UPV and OMV.

45 MCQ about knowledge and comprehension of basic clinical sciences, in all common species
Formative tests are available on eCampus platform
Modalities can differ if an examination is organised in January, or in second session.
Attendance to professional seminars is mandatory.
