Learning unit contents
The course intends to analyze sensitive trade control regimes rules and policies.It focuses on non economic exceptions to free trade rules established by the World Trade Organization.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course intend to support the student to understand legally and politically binding instruments ruling free trade exceptions.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Basic knowledge of essentials principles ruling international trade is necessary
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is organized among
- a series of lectures setting the essential elements of sensitive trade control regimes (dual-use items, weapons, diamonds, cultural goods)
- Contributions and presentations made by regulators and industries
- Cases studies
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
"face to face" lectures.
