Learning unit contents
Hematology is the study of cellular and molecular elements of the blood. The course is dedicated to the physiopathology of hematological diseases and the laboratory tests used for their diagnosis.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
1. physiology of hematopoiesis and normal blood cells
2. pathology of red blod cells
3. pathology of white blood cells
4. pathology of platelets
5. hemostasis and coagulation

Human and pathological biochemistry. Histology.

Assessment methods
The examination will consist in multiple choice questions based on the course objectives listed for the students. The exam will be set up on the ecampus platform.
