History of the discipline, introduction to the documentation, presentation of the rules of publishing and of the reference publications, introduction to the bibliographical research.

Presentation of the history of the discipline and of the assyriological research, introduction to the publishing work and bibliographical research.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

To have attended the lecture entitled "Assyro-Babylonian I" during the 1st year of study.

Exercice sessions on the assyriological literature.
Library sessions.

15h + 15h theoretical during the 1st quadrimestre.
Fixed following the disponibility of the students.

Slideshows are online (MyULiege) after courses.

Organizational remarks

A written report is due for April. It consists in a preliminary bibliography investigation on a subject connected with assyriological studies.
