Schedule

Schedule online

Units courses prerequisite and corequisite

Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

The course is subdivided in the following way: - cellular lines - techniques of aseptie - environment of the culture - primary cultures - techniques of observation in optical microscopy - contaminations - instability, variation and conservation - measurement of viability and cytotoxicity
- three-dimensional culture

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The philosophy of the course of culture of cells is to communicate to the students the basic techniques used for the culture of animal or human cells in vitro

The objective continued are:
- maintenance of the viable isolated cells or the functional units apart from the organism;
- application of good laboratory practices;
- handling, which constitutes the best training for the student.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Good knowledge in cellular and tissue biology

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

- Preparation of sterilized material and media - Starting cells culture - Congelation -decongelation - Cells count - Passaging - Viability tests - Observations (phase contrast microscopy)
Local: 3/62 - Institute of chemistry (B6c)
