10h of courses presenting the objectives and basic technics required for the pratical courses (100h). 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Aquisition of good practices in a laboratory and of increasing technical autonomy for future work in laboratories.

Molecular Biology
Protein Biochemistry 

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

10h of theory.
Practical courses during which students will repeat twice the experiments (the first timeunder the supervision of an assistant and the second time alone).

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)

Slides and protocoles for the experiments.

power point, documentations related to experiments including protocoles, video.

Assessment methods and criteria

The evaluation will take into account :


  • an oral presentation and answer to questions of the jury members (50% of final cotation),
  • the quality of experimental results generated during the practical courses and garthered in a lab book (one per student) (50 % of final cotation); and
  • student behavior and respect of lab rules during practical courses willl be taken into account.
The presence of student is mandatory. Unjustified absence (>25% practical courses) will lead to student exclusion for oral exam.

Work placement(s)

Organizational remarks

At the end of each practical course, the student will have to show that his bench has been cleaned.
