Learning unit contents

This cursus consist of an analysis of art museums and archaeological museums. The typology of these families of museums is criticised.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Introduction à la muséologie (Bac 2) is a pre-requisit.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The "theoretical" part consist of thery and cases analysis, included some in situ.
A short stage of 2 weeks (10 days) is mandatory and give way to a report.

Assessment subjects

Content: Museums and ethics. Acquisition of collections. The object of study of Museology. The notions of museality and musealization. The museum sector in the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. Current subjects for the Museology of art and archeology: the inalienability of collections, restitution, collections on the present, the paradigm of collaboration in art and archeology.
 
Based on face-to-face and virtual lectures, museum visits (carried out outside the confinement period) and on the following texts:
