This course is intended for potential future directors of nursing homes. It aims to guide the institutional project on the basis of a better knowledge of the target audience: namely elderly people with or without neurodegenerative pathologies.
The contribution of scientific studies in psychology, medicine, etc. will lead students to question (1) the medicalization of aging in nursing homes, (2) the notion of the values of an institution, (3) the architecture and interior design of a nursing home, (4) Management style and impact for professionals and residents, (5) etc.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course is intended to participate in the process of "culture change" as recommended in the recent scientific literature, and to open the future directors to this perspective.

It should be noted that at the end of each examination session (June or August / September), the level of severity of the examination could be revised downward. This decrease in severity will be left to the strict appreciation of the academic. The latter will be based on the level of complexity found in the exam, and therefore on the student success rate.
