Learning unit contents

Implementation of a GIS in remote server following precise specifications (application geo-marketing, risk analysis, ...) and using all the notions seen in the courses of GIS and advanced GIS:
- Design of a spatial database
- Data integration
- Implementation of a spatial data server (WMS, WFS, ...)
- Server treatments
- Implementation of a web interface
- Management of user privileges
- Transactional and decisional aspects
- Manipulation of spatial data exchange formats (GeoJSON, ...)

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Application of all the theoretical aspects seen during GIS and advanced GIS.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

  A session is dedicated to the presentation of the specifications. The student will then have to do the work autonomously and find information in books, on the internet or by contacting the teacher.
