Learning unit contents

- definition of nutritional epidemiology and associated concepts
- nutritional status and indicators 
- data collection methods relating to nutrition and the biases inherent in these methods
- stages involved in a dietary survey
- examples of major epidemiological studies on nutrition; focus on oxidative stress and nutritional antioxidants

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of the course, students must be able to take a critical look at the work done in the field of nutritional epidemiology, implement and analyze a nutritional epidemiological study by controlling specific features of the epidemiological methods applied to nutrition.
