Schedule
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Learning unit contents
This course focuses on the contrasting presentation of two ways to produce knowledge and to use it in relation to the management of environmental issues: the experimentation ("Mode 1" : the laboratory work) and the participatory approaches ('Mode 2': the open participatory research). Based on several case studies we will see how can operate these two modes of knowledge and action; but also what are the possible tensions and complementarities between both.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
This course is dedicated to assess the role of scientific and technological activities involved in complex environnemental issues. The aim is to help students to take advantage of differences and tensions between different modes of knowledge during new and original research's partnerships.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
This cours is given through a seminar with discussions about case studies (scientific literatures) and videos.
