Learning unit contents
This course focuses on securities and debt enforcement under Belgian Law.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course aims to allow future practioners to advise creditors about the best way to secure their debt and make decision in a context of insolvency proceedings.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Obligations and Contracts Law, Property Law and the main rules related to Insolvency Law are absolute prerequisites.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practical exercices sessions will be organised. Active involvement of students is highly desirable.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
The course is organised during the second term.

A detailed table of contents and a summary of the course are available to students.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment is made by a written exam, which consists in part of practical exercices. Use and application of legal provisions is part of the evaluation.
