Learning unit contents

This courses give the basis for the redaction and the oral presentation of the final thesis or applied project. This course also give the tool to make bibliographical search.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The student will be able to search adapted references in relation to it's problematic. He will be able to write it's thesis or it's project and finally, he will be able to orally present it's results.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Four period of teaching are planned. Two preriod are done by C.Rougeot at the ULiège:  the first one on the redaction of the thesis and project and the second one on the formation to the oral presentation. The two other periods are done by R.Mandiki from the UNamur on the bibliographical search. 

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)

Campus based (face-to-face) teaching occurs during the second period of the schedule.

Assessment methods and criteria

Examination includes 2 parts, 50% each. The first part is the written report of the introductive part of the thesis or the applied project (10-15 pages). This part is evaluated based upon the redactional quality anbd the quality of the reference list. The fillinf of the document is act during the first examination session of June. The second part is the oral presentation of the written introduction (max 10 minutes). This part is evaluated base upon the quality of the presentation support (ex. ppt) and the respect of the time of presentaion (max 10 min.) The date of the oral presentation is act during the first session of examination.

Adaptation of teaching commitments following the COVID-19 pandemic for the May-June 2020 session

Teaching methods implemented : distance-learning

The first part was done before the confinement. The second part (search of reference) is done by distancing formation

Assessment subjects

The evalutation will be done on the introdcution of the project or thesis.
