Learning unit contents
The course presents various techniques used in Structural Biological Chemistry . The various techniques discussed in the course are: Solution NMR, Mass Spectrometry, X-ray crystallography, Infrared Spectroscopy, Cryo-electro-microscopy, molecular modeling. Theoretical aspects are explained on basis of practical results found in the literature
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the course students will be able to understand the use of technology in structural biology and to identify methods to answer specific questions related to structural biology.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Basic biology and biochemistry. Knowledge of the structure and properties of biological macromolecules. Structural analysis. The basics of spectroscopy.

Adaptation of teaching commitments following the COVID-19 pandemic for the Aug-Sept 2020 session
Assessment subjects
For the August exam, the subject assessed is identical to the January exam and corresponds to the courses and powerpoint presentations that have been made available to students.
Assessment methods
The oral examination will consist of the discussion of a scientific publication. The publication will be provided to students in early August.
