After an introduction to the history of China, this course presents different aspects of modern and contemporary China : society, politics, international relations, etc.

Oral examination. Oral presentation of topic related to the course theme with a 5 to 10 pages written summary.

Organizational remarks

Attendance is required. The student missing more than 30% of the lessons, with or without justification, may be refused at the exam by the teacher. This inadmissibility will apply to the first AND the second exam session. The student's grade will be "0/20". 5Room: A2/4/15, 14-16h.)

Documents and texts, exercises, homework, personal contacts via Skype.

Assessment subjects

Written presentation of a subject in relation with the course, the subject to be evaluated will be chosen individually by the student in accordance with the teacher.

Assessment methods

Written paper (5-10 pages) on the topic chosen by the student.
The paper has to be send to Andreas.Thele@uliege.be either as a Word document or as a PDF, latest on Friday May 29th 2020 at midnight (11:59 h p.m.).
