Learning unit contents
Rationality, like architecture, has its own story to tell. In this introductory course, we will try to show how these concepts have been linked since the Greeks began thinking about "archè". Through this course, which spans pre-Soctratic thought through to Hegel, we will take a snap shot look at a few broad periods and a few main philosophical figures. The aim is to highlight what underlies our "Western" way of thinking and, above all, to clarify the concepts and problems which are pre-requisites for training to be an architect.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Assessment subjects
Due to the exceptional situation, I took the decision to delete the chapter about the philosophy of history (HEGEL) which will be seen next year in aesthetics.
The subject thus extends from the pre-Socratic philosophers to Kant included.
