Ruminants clinic

You will be required to examine clinically large and small ruminants, presenting various and varied pathologies and requiring a daily follow-up, thus practicing on real cases the learning outcomes of semiology of Master 1. You will be in charge of the exams clinics in the morning as well as the administration of medical treatments but also post-operative care for these cases.  In some cases you will accompany assistants to Care FePex for spot examinations of sick animals.

Ruminants herds medicine

The 2 weeks devoted to herd medicine will allow you to understand the main principles of herd management, namely the overall management of a farm in order to optimize its economic performance. You will have the opportunity to gather data on the various aspects presented at the beginning of the first week (breeding performance, udder health, lameness and feed efficiency) and to synthesize in the form of an audit report of these data.

Porcine clinic

Swine clinics educate students a practical way in the fields of swine health management.

Ruminants clinic

At the end of your individual case week, you will be able to perform a general examination as well as some special examinations in ruminants. You will be able to determine the prognosis as well as the clinical diagnosis and the differential on the patients of the clinic. You will also learn how to perform the different injections on patients and provide basic care in ruminants.

Ruminants herds medicine

The main objective of your 2 weeks of herd medicine and ambulatory clinic is to allow you to quantify the health, reproduction and production performances of a dairy farm, to evaluate the associated economic losses and synthesize and prioritize the problems encountered in the farm. You will need to present your audit report and make recommendations to improve the situation.

Porcine clinic

An evaluation of the knowledge-being, the knowledge and the know-how of each student will occur during the Swine clinic.
Per day of absence, -10 points will be obtained by the student (the final note will be at least 0/20).
