Learning unit contents
Animal production : cattle, sheep, goat, pig, poultry
Basic notions on zootehnical aspects are seen including ::
production cycle
animal perfromance
management of slurry and manure
Aquaculture will be also envisaged.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The objective is to give a general wiew of animal production. The objective is not to form specialists but to provide general information on animal production allowing to the students to understand ways of breeding in our country.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
- lectures for zootechnical basic information
- on field visit with different workshops. A written report could bes asked.
- 2 farms visits with cattle and pig producinon are foreseen.
- The online multi-modules session will be available on ecampus. Each module allows to control the new kwnoledges. The online session is compulsory and participation will be controlled. The online session must be performed before the visit to the farm.
Since the participation to all sessions is compulsory, in case of absence, the students will not be authorized to sit the exam in the first session.

Assessment methods and criteria
The pratical details are given during the lectures.
The involvement, the motivation and the knowledge will be evaluated.
The on-line questionary and visit report will be evaluated. These evaluations will be taken into account in the final note (20%).
In case of failure to complete all tasks, students are not allowed to sit the exam in June.
