Learning unit contents
The course is held every odd year (2015-2016, 2017-2018...).
The course examines the dynamics of democracy in Europe since the end of WWII.
After some historical backgrounds, it will focus on public policies such as the fight against racism, freedom of speech and education to citizenship.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course is about all issues related to democracy within Europe since 1945.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
The student following the course, should be aware of the concept of democracy, its complexity and its misuse in the order of political discourse.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Subject to change, the course will consist of introductory lectures and case studies given by the teacher, and presentations of work by students.

The evaluation will be conducted through an oral examination and / or presentation of written work.

Students wishing to complete an internship in an institution directly involved in the defense and promotion of democratic ideals should contact the teacher of the course.
