Learning unit contents
Health simulation, through the use of different tools to reproduce in a more or less realistic way clinical situations, would bring significant added value to the training of health professionals. In this context, this course aims to explore the theories of learning that can be linked to the innovative pedagogical means of simulation. More specifically, two important moments of a simulation session will be explored: pre-briefing/briefing and scenario construction.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- to understand and explain the link between the theories of learning and the different phases of a simulation session (from briefing to debriefing)
- define the learning objectives of a simulation session
- to write the scenario of a simulation session taking into account the pedagogical objectives, the different types of simulation possible, the level of the learners.
