Learning unit contents
The course will treat of several advanced topics in quantum mechanics, depending on the interests of the students.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Developing the intuition of how quantum systems behave. Gaining experience in solving quantum mechanical problems beyond the standard QM course.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
An intermediate level quantum mechanics
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Listening to lectures, solving problems, both in groups and independently.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
face-to-face
Recommended or required readings
Flugge, "Practical quantum mechanics", 2 volumes, can help solving certain problems.
Assessment methods and criteria
Attendance 25%
Homework problems 75%
