Learning unit contents

Thorough study of a modern or contemporary philosophical work.
In 2018-2019, the course will be devoted to the question of life in spinozist and leibnizian texts.

Recommended or required readings

 Students are invited to buy Ethics by Spinoza.
Texts by Leibniz will be made available on internet (my Ulg).
A short bibliography will be provided during the course.

Assessment methods and criteria

Each student can decide either to take an oral exam or to write a paper (10 pages).
 Active participation during the whole course will also be taken into account.
