Learning unit contents

The objective of this course is to assimilate the physicochemical principles necessary to pharmaceutical dosage forms formulation.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The aim of this course is the introduction of the physico-chemical principles envolved in pharmaceutical dosage forms formulation.Several topics will be learned:

  • solid state properties
  • liquid state properties
  • dispersed system properties
  • polymers for pharmaceutical application
  • pharmaceutical operation

Assessment methods and criteria

The examination consists of a written part (in the form of multiple-choice QCMs) and an oral part, which give rise to two separate sub-notes. The final note it is the arithmetic average of the two sub-notes. Students who do not obtained a 10/20 sub-note in the written part are not eligible to the oral part.
