Learning unit contents

The course is made up of 3 different parts:
1/ Hybrid courses
2/ Interaction
3/ Presentation skills

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of the course, the student will reach the Level B2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in oral interaction within his or her field of specialty.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

The student has to have a B2+ level in prepared speaking (cf. CEFR) before starting the course.

Interaction (weekly speaking, 2nd semester, 1h/wk)

Hybrid courses*: 40%
Interaction: 55%  
Online test (presentation skills): 5%
*A student who is absent for one hybrid course will automatically be considered ABSENT in June for his or her English course.
The students who sign one part of the exam will be given 0/20 as a final grade.
Exemptions, even partial, will not be granted.

Organizational remarks

A student who leaves for one term/semester/year has to contact the Engilsh teachers before leaving.
A precise description of the course organization and contents as well as the evaluation criteria (Introductory Document + English Portfolio) has been made available for the students on eCampus.
The students with 'crédits résiduels' for this course will be invited to a compulsory meeting at the beginning of the course: a compulsory programme of learning activities will be organized for them and assessed.
