Learning unit contents

This course aims to develop the four linguistic skills, namely :

  • oral expression
  • written expression
  • listening comprehension
  • reading comprehension

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

  • To be able to reproduce an orally coherent and syntactically correct text.
  • To be able to produce a grammatically correct narrative text.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

None.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

  • Active requiring constant participation from students, training in comprehension (reading, listening) and expression (written and oral)

This course takes place for two hours per week

Assessment methods and criteria

First session:
20%: written examination in January
80%: evaluation in June through oral and written examination




  • 40%: Oral examination about the content of given texts.
  • 40%: written examination
 
Second session:




  • 50%: Oral examination about the content of given texts.
  • 50%: written examination
  The student only needs to retake any part(s) of the written and/or oral exams on which he/she got a grade lower that 10/20 in the Spring session.
